People always talk about WTO failure but since there is much opposition to breaking down trade barriers, it can only be done little by little with some failing meetings but with some steady progress.

WTO and other world trade agreements could never succeed unless each country faithfully adhere to the principle of fair play. Unlike in the world of sports, fair play in the world trade arena is only a dream. In reality, most countries, especially the developed ones are bent on protecting their own industry/products. Take for example the case of Philippine fruits, such as mango, banana, and pineapple - these are truly world class, but still, some countries make it hard for Filipino exporters to penetrate their market.

The WTO has already achieved so much that had not been previously accomplished, and it'll do more despite some failures.

I have to believe that it has, but only if it fair to all, in Singapore the farmers believed they were very left out of the world consideration. Trade has always appeared to be a good communication tool.
