I'm really into fantasy, drama, romance, school-life, and magic. ...i really don't like animes that are nothing but talk and that never get to the point even when the series is over. what do you suggest?

This is long but it might help.
Anime is usually based on magic, love, and mostly good over evil and darkness. An example of a fantasy one may be 'Final Fantasy' i hadnt watch that one yet but people say its good. A good Drama one er... hehe i kinda forgot what drama means. heh. Romance 'Fushigi Yuugi', but it has a long of weird seens in it so recommended 18 plus, its about a girl that got sucked into a book to ancient china and becomes a priestess to save a country called Konan. School life can be 'Fruits basket' about a girl whos mother died then lives in a tent then lives into the sohma family and found out that the were all cursed. i personally LOVE one of the characters.. YUKI-KUN!!!!! lol then um... for magic 'Cardcaptor sakura' about a 10 yr old girl that undos a seal on a book of clow card, but if u think that is too young for a main character you can watch a simillar one, the main character is the same since its both make by CLAMP 'tsubasa chronicles' im currently watching that. its about a princess named sakura that had all of memory wings/feather blown away to other diamensions and shaoran her most precious friend has to help her get them back (they also like each other but never told them), then the sad parts comes cuz in order to go to other worlds the have to ask the dimension witch/magician and you have to pay for it with you MOST PRECIOUS thing and for shaoran its to take shaoran out of sakura's memory forever.
Bleach and Naruto are really popullar too. i basically love ALL anime and watched a lot of series and you can tell about cuz i wrote all this. hope this helps.

You would LOVE Fruits Basket. It's about a school girl who's mother died and as a result she lives in a tent. She meets the Sohma family and learns that the family is cursed. 13 member of the Sohma family have a zodiac cursed. WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?! Well I'll tell you. Whenever the cursed family members are hugged by a member of the opposite sex, or when their bodies come under physical stress, they turn into one of the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac. But wait...didn't I say 13 people? According to Chinese folklore, there was supposed to be a cat in the zodiac.
Hehehe, you HAVE to see it, it's the best.

My husband and I love InuYasha and Rurouni Kenshin. Full Metal Alchemist (sp?) is good too.
That's the thing about anime. They usually are very character driven. A lot of times there is a basic plot to pull it all together, but each episode concentrates more on the people in the story.

Fushigi Yuugi is a romance drama fantasy. comedy... Its kinda everything.
You have to check it out. Just google it and alot of stuff comes up. andyou can find the dvds everywhere.

search neon genesis evangelion on youtube. it's got no romance or school life or magic, but the artwork is absolutely incredible. it's definately one of the best drawn animes ever.

azumanga daioh is a great manga/anime to choose it may be about high school but they (the writers) found a way to make it so funny that you wish that your school was that exciting. from the teachers to the students to the adventures and storyline it is a treasure of the manga/anime genre
