Frances and Joseph Gies are historians who have collaborated on over 20 texts on various aspects of medieval life. You should be able to get many of them at your school and public libraries; very highly recommended.

Also be on the lookout for anything titled "Life in Medieval..." , or "Everyday Life in..." or similar titles.

It's an old book, but an excellent read for middle-school or high school use: Life in a Medieval Barony, by William Stearns Davis. Chapter-by-chapter social history focus on a mythical noble family in "St. Aliquis".

Good luck with the homework, and hope this helps.
