It depends on what you believe.

Pain depends on your senses to tell you that you're in pain. If you don't believe your senses, you can make the pain an illusion.

Just like if you see a magic trick and you don't believe it, when the trick is revealed you realize that what you saw was indeed an illusion.

But if you never see the trick being explained, you can believe that it is real and it won't be an illusion.

pain can be alot of different things to people, but i think its most certaintly not an illusion.

I can't say giving birth to my daughter was an illusion. So my answer to you is definitely "no".

No. Pain is your body showing it's fear of death. Without pain we would not know the limits of our bodies. Which will lead into broken bones or death. Pain is like an alarm system of your body to inform you, the pilot, when you have reached it's limit.
