When living on the base are wives permitted to get a job!
I was ask the question today( I thought it was dumb)
But I told the person yes I don't see why not!
They told me that the service told their husband that they were not allowed to work!
(A lie Right) I don't know anyone in the service any more to ask and rules may change
My thoughts she just doesn't want to work, she doesn't want a job!

That's too funny. It's not true. Spouses who live on base can get jobs if they want to. It may be that her husband told her that to keep her at home.

In response to the first answerer: I know that spouses are given preferential consideration when it comes to jobs on base. I don't think that holds true off-base though.

Yes, they are not only allowed to get a job, but they're given preferential treatment over civilians in many places.
I don't know if this holds true everywhere, but I don't see why it wouldn't.
