You need to go to the local school board office and find out exactly what you need to have for certification in that state etc. Once you've aquired everything you need, send in your application, then go by and call them frequently. Be persistant. (Especially with the Director of Middle School Education and the secretaries- yes the secretaries. You'd be surprised how much pull they can have) Make sure they know you're interested. Don't just sit and wait for the job to come to you. Then go by and talk to as many principals as possible- so they know your face when you do get an interview. Remember, be persistant.

So? Obviously you're aware of the steps that teachers need to take to become certified (or whatever it is you have to do). I suggest that you call the state board of education or a local board of education to find out what you have to do to become certified in that state.
