My ex didn't wear a wedding ring to the office. He told me it was too tight. I offered to get it sized for him, but he wasn't interested. I found out that he had been having an affair for two years with someone in the office.
He didn't wear his ring because he had been shopping around while at work. A ring would have prevented him from finding someone new.

Its a personal preference. Some married men don't wear a ring. A lot of the ones that do wear a wedding ring are big cheaters anyway. LOL

Can't speak for everyone, but from time to time my hands & fingers swell, which makes the ring too tight. If I have it resized it would be too loose when my fingers are not swollen. I would prefer to wear it, but not when it is painful to do so.
As fas as guys not wearing it just so they can shop around... they could always take it off.. not that it seems to matter. I've seen as many openly married guys get hit on by women as those without rings. I guess it's some kind of turn-on, or there is a challenge to it?

It doesn't 'mean' anything. My mother and father were married for 34 years and they would still be married today if my father had not passed away 8 years ago. He wore his wedding band on his wedding day and took it off and put it in a drawer. My husband does not wear his either. When we got married he worked on air conditioners and refrigeration equipment, so it was dangerous for him to wear it. You can tear your finger off working with some equipment. He now has another job, and does not wear it. He just isn't used to wearing jewelry, he doesn't want to flirt or get a g/f. He loves me and would never cheat. So it doesn't mean anything if a guy doesn't wear a ring......he just doesn't want too.

I couldn't tell you. I work with electrical equipment, so I take mine off with the first job I do each day, and usually don't put it back on until I leave to go home. Have you ever tried asking him why he doesn't wear a ring?

They want to feel as single men again (there is not a valid excuse always, for do not wear the ring). This is always the main reason.See,when you see this guy,you were thinking he was a single man.(and that is the idea in mind's men).

Sometimes they have good reasons. Federal agents and Soilders may not due to their jobs, my dad worked with electricity a lot and didn't wear one. Some surgeons have to keep removing them before surgery, and wear them only when going out on their days off...
Then there are those that want to give a false impression.

I'm a guy and I don't like wearing my ring, just don't like any jewelery period. Also, almost got finger/hand ripped off because it got caught on a piece of machinery, haven't worn it since then, and now to think of it I got hit on more when I was wearing it than now when I'm not.

My husband doesn't wear his either because he can't due to what he does. I don't really mind though. Wearing or not wearing a ring doesn't make a marriage.
