I know this sounds strange but my husband is truly out of line with his generousity, a quality I love in humans in general but my husbands ideas of being generous are surreal. Here is an example...a friend of ours has come and stayed with us for two weeks now, (her lives in another state) we've been taking him out to great Restaurants and wined and dined him the entire time. We are also taking him on a vacation for a three day weekend ( we will pay for the hotel. ect.) ... now our friend wants to buy himself an expensive bike but can't really afford it...so my husband offers to pay the difference ( which is $150)... I mean am I loosing it or is this just overboard? Please give me your perspective on this...
PS: it's not like we have a money tree growing in the back yard!!!
and we don't have excess cash laying around!!

I would have a conversation with the friend when your hubby is not around. Tell him a story of somebody you know who has this friend, who is just taking advantage of their friendship....always letting your friend pay for dinner, calling at inappropriate times, showing up unannounced, etc. Don't make it exactly the same, but similar, so he can quietly relate, then ask him how he thinks you should handle the situation.

With hold sex!

Seriously, have you tried just sitting down and talking to him about it? Being that he's your husband you should be able to sit him down and tell him how you really feel and he should at least listen to what you have to say if he's such a generous and giving guy with a wonderful heart. If he's truly wonderful, he'll concider your feelings and knock it off.

Best wishes to you.

Do the same thing with a friend of yours that he doesn't like. He'll get the message.
