A LOT of my hair is falling out daily. When my room was sweeped up, there was more of my hair in my room compared to the living room, which is where my family mainly spends their time in. My mom says its my shampoo, but I've been using this shampoo brand for 4 years now, and i've never had a problem with it. Could it be my shampoo or is it something else?

I have a very similar question I asked about two weeks ago.. I've had peope telling me to check my thyroids, blood hormones, and I've also heard prescriptions (ex: birth control pills) can also alter hormones and cause hair loss.. I made an appointment with a dermatologist for next week, so hopefully that will help out. (I'm 20 years old by the way.) I've also used the same shampoo for years, so I don't think it's that. I don't know, my best advice is to get a doctor's appt as well, and if your question is still up next week, I'll let you know what my doctor says.

It is normal for one to lose hair each year,it is certainly a good idea to have a change of shampoo occasionally as it will give your hair a lift and nice shine just to have a different shampoo and conditioner, do not use a shampoo/conditioner made together as this is not good for your hair, try another shampoo i am sure you shall be delighted with the result. All the Best

i know someone mention this before but it could be stress. me personally i found out that i have a spot on the back of my head, whenever i get stress for a long amount of time the hair in that spot breaks off...nowhere else on my head but that spot. i asked a hair stylist and she said i could be a stress spot and thats what i think it is. either that or it could be that ur diet isn't healthy.

Go do a thyroid check.

Do a blood test for the T3, T4, FT3 in your blood. Hair loss is one of the symptoms of being hypo thyroid

It could be a lack of vitamins or it could be stress. Are you stressed out? I had that problem once and that is what my doctor said to me. I hope you find the cause.

kasihan deh loe! hehe.

your mum is right. even my mum tells me to change my shampoo after a number of months. it's like with medicine. contohnya, "panadol". "panadol" itu kan obat sakit kepala. bila dimakan pertama kali, sakit kepalanya pasti hilang. tetapi sekian lama menggunakan "pandadol" terus, you'll get immune to it and your headache remains. so, change your shampoo.

That happens to me every month during PMS. It was even worse during early pregnancy.
