Our lawyer told us today there is no organization out there that regulates what doctors can and cannot do.
Our HMO doctor broke our baby's head and now she has Cerebral Palsy for life.
The lawyer says the Medical Expert told him we didn't have a case after we waitied about 8 months only because in court it could go either way and the Law Firm didn't want to waste money.

Get another lawyer,, and get your own medical opinion,, You can always report the doctor to the AMA, or wherever you live ,, every country had bodies that govern doctors conduct,, go there,, make a stink,,, here is a link to a cerebral palsy chapter,,

No, it is never ok to sacrifice a persons wellbeing for the sake of money. Doctors are human and make mistakes, these mistakes can cost a person they're life or wellbeing. It is an awesome responsibility, few people seem to appreciate. I know there is more to this than is space in this forum. Either way, that very money you feel they were trying to save, now has to be used to finance your daughter's care, whether it comes from their pockets or not. Unfortunately, any lawsuit you may bring will not change your child's condition. Focus on what you can do for your daughter, than what you can do to the docs. Lots of resources and support at your local hospitals or internet.

hmmm... i dont know how a person gets cerebral palsey, but if the doctor is at fault- then its something you should continue to persue. Get another lawyer and fight it. Get a second opinion from your own medical expert.

i think that is crap i have a cousin that died due to doctor neglect and my little sister is deaf due to peds neglect i strongley feel if the doctor messes up he or she should pay the price
