Delicious, knowing that you are the inheritor of the only cultures in the world to have created a social balance significant enough to last through centuries of tumult, even partly as the cause and the benefactor. An anglo gringo is the best, because they are the forgers of the most articulate language in the whole of human history -- English is more than twice as large in terms of flexibility, than any other language. This specificity of communication is what allowed the saxons to run rampant over the globe and seed it with civilization, because communication is power.

I believe that you did not intend to offend anyone with your question.

I must, however say something about the question and its purpose. Any time anyone refers to another person, regardless of race, religion, nationality, orientation, etc., with a term that other might interpret as derogatory, the mere utterance of that term does nothing in the way of projecting your cause.

Everyone must start with the basic precept that every person on earth has the same value as the next person. With that precept as the starting point, the need for causes and/or social movements would cease to exist.

When one uses a term, whether the intent is derogatory or not, the result is that others look upon the person using the term as believing they have a lesser standing in society. This happens because the speakers seeks to place themselves into a higher social status than the other people. How can anyone look favorably upon a cause with that in mind?

Thank you for allowing me to put that out for the consideration of others.

You'd always be on the run, hiding from the government..whom you run against.
Sad to say,, gringos seem to be mostly rebel minded.

Hmm, never thought of myself as a label guy, but I guess it's OK. It feels kinda tired right now. I'm sure it will feel more relaxed tomorrow, and a bit hungry come lunchtime.

People are people... regardless of the labels we place on one another.

Honestly, it feels great, just like being an American. I've always felt fortunate and never taken it for granted.
