Case: First day of bleeding, Aug 2. Assuming i observe my ovulation schedule regularly and do whats necessary to get pregnant. In case i fail, i expect my next period to be on Aug 31 (28day cycle). Aug 29 am, took a test but with a negative result, tho i am not sure if the preg test is capable of detecting HCG at an early stage (2 days before expected menstruation date) because the box only said "...can tell even on the day after missed period". Experienced abdominal cramps during the day and on the night of the 30th, got brown spots with a little blood. Thot my period came. What do you think, am i pregnant or not?

It is possible you could be pregnant. There is a thing called implantation bleeding which occurs in some people at the beginning of pregnancy. Cramping can also be caused by the implantation process. The best test to use to find out is first response, it tests earlier than other tests- up to 5 days before your missed period. Good luck!

You can't tell if your pregnant yet, it's way to soon. I know the pregnancy box says that it can detect it right after your missed period but that is a big fat lie. It still takes up to 2-3 weeks after your missed period for it to show up as being positive.
This I know from personal experience. So don't stress out if your period doesn't start right away and the test still comes out negative. Just give it a couple of weeks. I took three home pregnancy test before I got a positive result.

If you took a test I am going to say you are not pregnant. I think your nerves have gotten to you and may be with all the stress has delayed your period.
I have been pregnant 2 times and have taken tests a week prior before I was due to have my period and they both came out positive.
Silly question but do your breasts hurt more than usual? That was a sure sign for me. My breasts were swollen and the though of touching them even hurt.

I would say yes, brown spotting occurs in the early stage of pregnancy, the 1st time you ovulate after conception. Sometimes home test don't work until a week or more after your missed period. If you feel "different" and haven't gotten your period, I would go to the doc and get a test taken

Wait a couple more days and test again, or get a blood test done at the dr. I spotted liked that with my third and actually mistook it for a period until a sono showed I was a month farther along than I thought.

Take another test, it could have been implantation bleeding....
Please don't say "in case I fail" this is not a failure....remember that. I tried for 2 years for #2, number 1 was a first try baby.

My tests came up positve a week before I was supposed to get my period.... then I got my period.... then I went to the doc and he said I was pregnant.... go figure. Some of those tests can detect it pretty quickly, the line will just be lighter. If it happened to me, it can happen to you too. I am 16wks preg. now :-)

Wait a day or two and then test again if all you do is spot, without a full period.
