when a guy says he only treats you like his daughter but doesn't even have one, how would you react?
it's like this:
a guy checks up on you from time to time out of nowhere to see if you're doing well, and to avoid you from thinking about his motives, he would start to assure you that he only sees you as his daughter without you even asking (also he doesn't even have a child nor does he have a wife), what would you think?
note: the guy is only a year older
guys, can you figure out what's behind this kind of behavior?

He just wants you to feel comfortable. But I think he is lying. You should ask him why daughter and not friend.

I've behaved that way. There may have been a number of reasons, such as: lacking self-esteem. The daughter part, IDK... maybe, I implied that kind of concern. As a result, you feel like less than a woman (?). You know, the person could be stalking you--the guy could have a Cyrano and Too Many 6-pax syndrome (?). Cowardly or not, I don't want to go to jail or take out a loan to pay money that I don't have for doing what I'd rather do; that which is really quite natural.
People by the age of 30 choose to be with someone, or to be alone. There's nothing hard about that fact, but it's a legitimate estimation. People live double lives. Sometimes the only time to get close to a person is never, but maybe a juvenile compromise can be struck.
Some guys are what english speakers call "chauvenists." Others, may believe that you're on the same level "family-wise" and that you have some sort amazing power of observation. And still others, might be sexually confused.

LOL. you ought to be type of youthful. you haven't given any information about your difficulty. yet one difficulty i'll assert is that youthful adult men have a tendency to lack self assurance each so frequently. perhaps he would not recognize the right issues to assert, or perhaps he's in basic terms to shy to assert how he feels. ORRR, he's sending mixed indicators or not exhibiting you the interest you want because he's extremely in simple terms after one difficulty from you (sex) that can make experience once you're in the age 16-25 variety. even as a guy extremely cares about you, you'll in basic terms recognize it. he's thoughtful, thoughtful and cares about your opinion. good success

1. He's lying.
2. He's a stalker.
3. Perhaps he's trying to compensate for the fact that he had no children. I believe it's called "displacement".
p.s. My choice is #2. (Keep an eye on this flange head!)

He's trying to act innocent to have you lower your guard. That's a really stupid thing to say if he's just one year older than you. It's obvious that he's trying to look like the hero.
So it comes to these two answers.
1. He wants to have you lower your guard to later move in on you.
or
2. He has a superiority complex.

He's attempting the side attack by giving you assurance that he is not interesting in anything sexual with you when in reality his troops are out-flanking you.
