I don't think it will. The world will change and evolve and go through many different eras that we can't even think of. If we listened to people and how the media sensationalizes everything the world should have have come to an end a million times over. Did you know that in the year 999 people in Europe were nervous and fretting over the fact that many "soothsayers" said the world would end in the year 1000? Of course it didn't, many religious factions have predicted the end since then and many more will in the future. If you stand back and look at the world with as much perspective as you can, you will see that the world has gone through many huge changes... most of them evolutionary, and not sudden. Keep in mind that "sudden" can mean 10,000 years in terms of the age of the world. We can not even imagine how life will be 1000 years from now, just like the people who lived in the year 1000 couldn't possibly imagine what our world is like. So... to clarify, I think our civilization as we know it will end, that is it'll drastically change from what we know now, but the world itself will go on, and on, and on. I believe there has been some cataclysmic changes but the world still went on. Just ask the dinosaurs!

I don't think the world will end,it'll just evolve. It could end for us, maybe a new form of life with develop, a more sophisticated form of life.Life is all about change and growth so I'd have to say this would be what mother earth would do, I guess it always seems to bug me of how the changes we do as we grow in techies we lessen with nature, the crap we dump on the planet without thinking twice.Damn,we only have one planet it's not like we can just move on to the next one ...think of "The day after tomorrow"So in order for mother nature to survive she will crush us like bugs slowly then live on.

The world will end when the sun goes Nova. Although we certainly have the capacity to extinguish life as we know it, the earth will continue on the way it did for millions of years before we got here. We think we're masters of this planet but we are so inconsequential it's not even funny.

It's a toss up between a strike by a planet-killing asteroid or an accidental launch of strategic nuclear weapons... Apophis will have a near hit in 2036...

I think human beings will destroy the habitat, so for us, the world will end when we do that. Cockroaches will probably be fine.
