Have you ever pretended to be on your cell phone just to avoid someone?

I've done this before. When I was at a stoplight, and a whole bunch of guys in the car next to me were yelling over at me, I pretended to get on my phone. Made it easier to ignore them.

Yeah, definitely make sure the ringer is off! lol. It could scare the crap out of you if it rang in your ear!

haha.. I have done that a lot of times.. and for the same reason you have done it too.. not in the car though.. I am a new driver, I am not aloud to use the phone in the car!!! lol

All the time.Just make sure to turn it off when you are pretending to turn it on, so it doesn't ring while you are talking to nobody & get busted while looking like an idiot.

oh yes!~there's this annoying old gay at work who'd always come up to you just to talk about rumours and other people. And no one wants to talk to him, so I'd pretend im on the phone when he'd pass by. It works :)

Of course! I also do this with my office phone at work. And just to be sure they don't ring, I always dial my voice mail.
