And how many of those who have "wrote letters to the editor" (who you assume are right wing Christian, though I'm perplexed why you assume that) have advocated that your freedom of speech, your liberty, and any other rights be taken away merely because of your views?
I'm willing to bet either none or very very few of them.
In other words, just as you exercise your right by expressing your views, they have the very same right to express their views about YOU. And if they think it is anti American, then so be it.
I don't know your views so I can't judge for myself if they are correct or not, but I do think you are the classic case of "can dish it out but can't take it".
Methinks though doth protest too much.
Oh, and BTW, just because someone exercises their freedom of speech does not mean that by definiotion those views cannot be anti American since it is an American right to voice those views. That's a basic error in logic.

Actually, John Skerry sounds and looks really stupid to me. He's not doing the neocons any favors.
Anyway, please don't pay any attention to those idiots, and don't take their stupid rantings to heart. If anyone criticizes Bush, these morons say we are traitors, but apparently they didn't have any qualms about attacking Clinton or Carter.
The fanatic Christians are mostly just stupid and scared frozen little people, just like the fanatic Jews and Fanatic Muslims. They are willing to sell their souls for power, but don't realize that Bush and his cronies are probably laughing at them behind their backs.
It can be discouraging to listen to a lot of this here.
I am sure it is tough enough for you to even listen to what has passed itself off as the news for the past 6 years. I'm glad you are protesting and writing letters, and hope it will help. Just keep up your spirits and the good work.

i'd have to agree with you... its the right-wingers that are trying to revoke our constitutional rights. maybe its time for another American Revolution....
and to John Skerry: Freedom of religion is in a thing called the BILL OF RIGHTS. its the 1st 10 amendments of the constitution, and freedom of religion just HAPPENS to be in there. so maybe next time you'll actually think before you say something stupid.

take advantage yes, see i dont think you hate america, infact i bet you're LOVING your freeride. you and all the other people who dont bring anything to the potluck dinner. Yes you probobly do exersise the right to freespeach, and assembly, religion, religion, press, petition; life liberty and the pursuit of happyness, so lets go over that shall we. why DO you have those rights? I'll tell you its because the HORRIBLE conservative white christians faught and died for them, again, and again, in the towns of Lexington and Concord, on the fields of Pennsylvania, on the beaches of Normandy, and on a godforsaken hill out side Basrah. dont you tell me that YOU, who take free speach to mean the right to disrespect your veterans, the reasons you have that right, dont tell me that you can be jewish because YOU protested some teachers leading prayers. dont tell me that because you wrote to a newspaper it makes your family better than the three generations of soldiers in my family. The ideals this country was founded on were those of the founding fathers, those of law, order, justice, kindness, freedom, and strength (funny how they're all christian values, huh?) so dont go telling me YOU uphold my rights
let me anticipate your next move, you (having been proven wrong) will try to make me sound conceited by calling me "racist, nazi, white-suppremecist, evil, repug...blah blah blah." let me tell you who i am, My name is Benjamin Song, thats right KOREAN, roman catholic(uh huh not some 'evil' protestant whipping boy), Texan(oh THAT explains it) come to the town of Arlington and try to hold a protest, see how many people you can get to turn out for your America is Bad agenda; 1? 2? come on, do it

Nope, I sure don't say liberals hate America. I think both liberals AND conservatives love our country, although both have different visions for what is necessary to improve the situation.
It's my opinion that SOME liberals and SOME conservatives hate the US. But not all of either group.
And liberals and conservatives need each other, so that everyone can attempt to meet in the middle.
Edit: Then again, I'm a moderate with conservative leanings. BUT my mom is a conservative (almost to the point of being extreme), and she agrees with me.
Second edit: NOWHERE in the Constitution does it say that we have freedom FROM religion. We have freedom OF religion, and the expression thereof. Therefore, if a person wants to display a manger scene in their front yard at Christmas, no one should be able to say anything about it.
Also, did you know that in some stores it is ILLEGAL for their employees to tell someone to have a "Merry Christmas"? Yes, that's right. No more Christmas. They CAN, however, wish someone a Happy Hannukah (I KNOW I botched the spelling on that) or Happy Kwanzaa, or just Happy Holidays.
Is this fair? It's politically INCORRECT to mention God, according to the ACLU, but every other group is protected.
I say, protect everyone (homosexual, heterosexual, atheist, satanist, AND Christian!), or protect no one!

Can you be more specific? Who is "you"? All you are saying is that "you" are trying to take away my rights blah blah blah. "You" can be anyone. Also how are we trying to take away your rights? List some examples.
