Who, besides me, thinks that Coach Fran will earn his paycheck and take The Fighting Texas Aggies all the way this year?

I remember going to Fort Worth to root on the Aggies when both our teams belonged to the Southwest conference :)

Well, Coach Fran was hired largely on the basis of his turn around at Alabama. His his previous success at TCU speaks pretty highly of him in my opinion as well. He took an Alabama team with a 3-8 record and turned them into a winner in two years. I suspect he needs to show some significant progress or not only will his job be in jeopardy, but his marketablity for any future jobs will suffer.
I hope that wins against Lafayette, Army, and LA Tech will give the team the confidence and experience needed to beat the hell out of Texas Tech on (my birthday) Sept 30. If they win that game they could go undefeated into the games with Oklahoma and Texas. Wins against those teams would give A&M a boost the rankings for sure.
I think the schedule has enough meat to it at the end of the season to give them a chance in the BCS, and I think that Coach Fran is motivated to make something happen this year. Go Ags!

playing against 7 teams not ranked in the top 40 is a good start, a&m playing one of the weakest schedules in in college football should get 7 wins and fran will take them all the way............. to the texas or ft. worth bowl, maybe next year they're still young. Secondary and special teams are still to weak to be a contender

God purely is hardship-free with of... My concept is this: Texas Agricultural and Mechanical college has between the roots "Agricultural" and the Aggie be conscious for a guy or woman of or bearing on agriculture is Aggie.

Sorry, they'll be lucky to finish higher than fourth in the Big XII South this year, easy schedule or not (may have the easiest non-conference schedule in the country this year).

No way....... First of all you would have to beat us, Texas Longhorns, and then if that ever happens then you would have no chance agaist Norte Dame........ they are going to be hot this year.
