Coming back from Europe I've noticed just how much more we pay in the UK for most things. Does British business consider these Isles as its own little fiefdom with sixty million consumers to exploit?

Now madam, that is a very cynical way of looking at things.Could it be that we are on higher wages over here ? Therefore we can afford to pay more?. Or could it be that the minimum wage we have in this country has increased costs for businesses ? There are certainly many people who have migrated to this country from the EU who consider themselves fortunate, not exploited.

I lived in Spain for two years and with all the problems associated with the expense of living in UK I still came back.
I still feel that I do not want to live anywhere else, yes there are many problems and expenses but look at the alternatives

Yup but other things are different in Europe too, like they have toll roads, but we pay road tax instead, they have a weird way of working and they don't let foreigners in to scrounge therefore needing more money from people so they can give it to them.
