The first time I heard the Violent Femmes was in 1986, in college. While all the other kids were listening to their bubblegum pop or hair band 80's...we had the Femmes.
Damn...I have their best of ablum. 20 years later...THEY STILL ROCK.

Not only have I heard of them I saw them way back when several times.
They were great at the time, just the three of them played on a wash-basin base., Very unique in their day.

Great band and their lyrics were always very on the edge. I never got a chance to see them live which was always a bit of a downer.
