It will be a teen party from late afternoon continuing into the night..about 4 or 5 hours long. There will be a pool, music and dancing as well as a buffet table with orderves. By the way, it is a 13th birthday party. There will be a spot where people can get their picture taken, and they will be given a print of it at the end of the party. There is no real theme except for the colors lime, magenta, and orange. Also, since it a 13th birthday party, the number 13 can be incorporated but doesn't have to. I was looking for ideas of something that people could take a picture in front of. If you have design ideas for the backdrop, please share them!
P.S.
A backdrop is a very large piece of wood (8x4ft?) covered in paper and decorated with paper, glitter, ribbon, ANYTHING AT ALL!!! It could even be decorated in candy!
It's a girl's birthday
Please give ideas, whether it is a full design idea or just a small material that we could use to decorate, your input is appreciated

maybe just simple lime magenta and orange stripes (vertical might look nice) (in that order might be ok too) with 13 written in random spots or in the middle

Well I saw this on TV on "Design on a Dime".
The designers used some florecent lights covered in colored plastic that they taped around each bulb, then they used some cloth to cover the light fixture that hung from plastic pipes. It was kind of like a curtain. They hung the rod by screwing a small "T" type of metal piece to the wall(in this case; you can screw it to your wood board). They bent the plastic rod so it had a nice half shaped circle to it. The light fixture was on either side. They could wrap the colored plastic to it because florecent lights don't give off that much heat, so it is safe.
On another wall they made 3 of those half circle curtain rods, & kind of overlapped them. Later when they put the cloth that were cut into huge triangles(it looked really good. Plus you can use the collors that you want). So it looked like three triangular flags overlapping each other. They also put some sort of lighting behind it.
You can use differnt shapes for the curtains things. They don't have to touch the floor & are all the same length but just staggered.

WOW!!!! sounds like one wonderful, UNFORGETABLE get mutually!!!!! Backdrop concepts... i can not get 10 factors i understand that yet i am going to attempt my brilliant which could actually help you... How about this, you're making a school (or perhaps with the undeniable fact that you spell it) of the places you'd be take a image of the buffet, cake, pool the artists and the persons coming a then placed the wide type 13 around the aspect as a border in glitter or ribbon? it might take an excellent type of doing so once you've a little while reduce it may be not ordinary yet i remember which could amaze me and that i'm 13 myself. Please i'm sorry if this became a waste of time!

Shindigz.com I decorated my whole wedding with items from there. I had a dream come true theme & made everything myself. I had balloon clouds, stars, castles. People said it was the best wedding they ever went to. I had backdrops hung up. It was beautiful & I got all the ideas from this site! Have fun- I LOVE theme parties!! I would definetly go with the 13 theme & maybe a hint of scary, superstious things (maybe a touch of Halloween).

I was looking at a party store ad I got in the mail & I thought it was wallpaper. But it was this huge backdrop, huge! It would be great for what you're talking about. They had a variety of themes. Check it out, it must be a new thing. Worst case scenario, you could buy one of those & glue, staple, etc. it to the wood frame you have.

No decoration suggestions, but try playing cooperative musical chairs. Rather than eliminating players, everyone has to sit down. People will start sharing chairs. Then tell everybody they all have to be sitting down, and nobody can have their feet on the floor.
Everybody will be hugging and giggling.

put a big piece of glittery material on the b.drop and put the persons name in paper letters then theres some pretty fabris that could be used as a border for it at wal-mart or fabric stores, the string is suppose to be used for yarn but it comes in diff. colors and its string/strings hanging from the original string thats all i have for NOW.
