a recipricol is just a "flip" of what you have.
if you have the fraction 2/3 the recipricol is 3/2
if you have the whole number 5 you put it over a 1 5/1 because there's an imaginary 1 there.
if you have a -4 you put it over a one and it remains negative -1/4
