NO!!!! That is a pretty morbid point of view -- where no matter what you do things will come out a certain way? I believe in the ability of a person to chose their actions/behaviors and that those behaviors/actions have consequences that are not pre-scripted with a pre-determined solution -- and that by experiencing this randomness (chaos) of results, we advance ourselves and learn more about the world around us.

No I don't. Nothing is ever "meant to be" or "set in stone". I don't like the thought of "fate" or "destiny". That saying intends that we don't have control of our lives and what occurs.

People that use this saying are either indecisive or just don't want to express their thoughts on the subject. You think Lance Armstrong was meant to have cancer and then just win the Tour de France so many times? Of course not. What he lived through caused his body to grow cancer. Then it was his will to train hard to become a great champion and over come his illness.

No. I believe that you have to work for everything you have. If you don't put effort into it, then you won't get any results. It's like saying 'boys will be boys' as they blow a hole in the pavement with dynamite. If you don't put effort into working with them, then you will have nothing, and possibly a big problem later. We are always fighting chaos (known to some as dirtiness or being disorganized). It's in our nature. well, maybe not for teenage boys...

Sometimes, yes.

If you are talking about love or a relationship, then yes if it is meant to be, it will be. That doesn't mean that you can't fight for it, or that it doesn't take a lot of hard work to make it work.

There are certain things that will occur in life that are beyond your control. While you can choose your destiny, have a hand in controlling it and have freedom of choice, there will inevitably be situations in which you have no control and can only do the best you can with what you have. So, yes. There are circumstances where what will be - will be.

its not a destiny.its like a magnet.you can choose what you want but if its not meant to be its not meant.we are circulating in a world of nature..the nature dictates its own course..if you dont believe that you are part of the nature you are misleading yourself..give a NATURE a benefit of the doubt,,the nature dictates it..YES you can dictate your own self but eventually nature will interfere .
