The only way they could be hired was if they lied on their app and a thorough search was not done on their background. Happens all the time so I guess he could try lying but at some point they may find out and he would most likely be fired and/or get into trouble for lying in the first place.
Also, if he had adjudication withheld that might mean he technically doesn't have a felony. Some states give you a one time chance to exponge one felony conviction also.

Park Rangers are law enforcement officers. Convicted felons are not eligible for this type of work.

I don't think there are any! He/she might be able to become a fire fighter/technician for the U.S. Forest Service or BLM (Bureau of Land Management) after their record is clean for a minimum of 5 years! Having a felony on your record makes you too much of a "risk" to get most government jobs. Your friend needs to ask their parole officer for job placement assistance.
