My period was suppose to come either yesterday or today. Nothing has come yet. I went to my local clinic today and told them what was going on, my symptoms, etc. And they just kinda dismissed me and said don't worry about it. And when asked if i could do a blood test, she dismissed that too. It was almost as if they didn't want to help me.
I can't go buy a Home Pregnancy test b/c I have no $ right now, and don't get paid until Sep. 4th. Will it still be okay to test then?

Of course, you can test whenever.

Of course it will be OK to test when you get some money. Usually though, it won't show up on a pregnancy test until 2-3 weeks after your missed period. I know that some tests say it can detect it a day after your missed period but that isn't always the case. I know for me, I took 4 home pregnancy test before I got a positive reading. I just felt I was pregnant so I kept taking a test. It didn't show up until 3 weeks after my missed period. Just stay calm and don't stress out. Your period may start at any time. Just wait it out. Take a test when you get money and if it turns out negative wait another week and take another test if you haven't started yet.
Good luck.

Yes, testing on the 4th would be fine, but I'll bet you will start your period by then. You sound anxious about starting and sometimes the stress can cause it to be a little late.

Sometimes a period comes late.
Even by 4th September, you might still be late for your period.
You sound as if a pregnancy would be a crisis to you.
There are people who would love to adopt....but let's not charge ahead yet.
If you are pregnant....and well, it's barely time to tell that if you are due for a period about now....well up to 80% conceptions miscarry, some even before the lady even has time to think about even being overdue for her period, and she never knows.

you can test at anytime, but even when the tests say "test on the first day of your missed period" it's best to wait awhile till you test. So it'll prob'ly be better if you test when you get paid.....make sure you use your morning pee when you have the most hormonal levels the tests use to figure out if your preggers.....

It shouldn't hurt to wait that long, but you shouldn't have to if you are worried.. Hospital personel can be very insensitive to people they percieve as not financially stabe enough to have kids. I've dealt with that scenario myself. There is probably a free clinic in your area somewhere. Try Planned Parenthood maybe?

Yes, it's pretty ok to test by that time.

if it turned out positive, then congratulations mommy!

if negative, then you must be under a lot of stress lately, so probably you might be experiencing a delayed period.

if your period doesn't come in a week then you should start to worry, not on the first day you are due. the clinic should have told you that.

HPT detect hCG levels in your urine. It;s the pregnancy hormone. It's not just here for a few days and then does away! The hCG will still be there on sept 4th!
