Great that she has a sense of humor. Just follow the rules and do your best. That's all any teacher asks. Have a good year.

Just put effort in and don't misbehave. If she knows you're doing your best, then she'll have no complaints. I had teachers like this when I was at school, and most of them liked me pretty well.

EDIT:
Like Diane said above, these kinds of teachers are the ones you'll look back on in the warmest light. The fact that she is strict shows that she really does care about your education. The fact that she has a good sense of humour shows you that really, she's just a nice girl who wants to help people. Good luck!

Once a month, ask the teacher a relevent question after class. This really looks like you're an interested student.
Answer a question or contribute a reply at least once in each class.
Get to class on time and have your notebook or book on your desk so you look like you're ready to learn.
Don't be rude and talk to other kids when the teacher is teaching.
Try to turn in all homework on time, even if it's not finished. Good luck!

Ditto with JJC! Don't kiss butt, but do tow the line and be active in class and punctual with work. You will soon find a happy teacher in front of you.

These teachers are the ones you look back on a few years from now and say "geez she was good, I learned a lot. I wish all my teachers were that good."

Go up to her and ask her what three things can you do to be more successful in the class.

The very fact that you ask her this question will help you instantly.

Listen in class, do what you're told, pay attention, and do the work (and do it well)?
