Physical maps show what the LAND and WATER look like ,what the physical aperance IS ,a political map shows the lines that show that this is the United States that is Canada,this city is Boston- that City is New York.

If I remember right, physical maps show the land as it is, and a political map shows the boundaries between states and countries.

Physical maps show the physical make-up of a region, mountain ranges, lakes, etc. Political maps show the boundaries of different countries, counties, etc.
