It is a good site. If have used it as a source for a lot of information when I answer some of the questions on Yahoo Answers. I don't know if it is 100% correct (is anything) so I don't use it as my only source, but when I do a search About.com comes up frequently. The articles I have read from About.com seem to be informative and full of good information.
I like Wikipedia since it is sponsored by the US Government (that's what the .org means). I also know that the articles in Wikipedia are verified by independent sources.

You can find *some* useful stuff if you can wade through the massive links to advertisers and the popups.

It's pretty good. I've found a lot of things there that I just can't find anywhere else. Howstuffworks.com is extremely cool, also.
