I don't know about anything that is totally free and still legal. But I like Shareaza and you only have to pay like $29 for a lifetime of downloads when you download it.

see link below, it works good but make sure you exit out of the program after your done getting music, if you leave it on and your on a High Speed connection people can access your music files at anytime and it slows your pc down. Good Luck and have fun
