I down loaded a manual for my vaccum off the internet and when I open the file it is written in "Note Pad" form. Does anyone know how to change that over so I can read it in plain English?

davepresco,
Thanks for all your help but to no avail I can't open it. When i try with Adobe it says file is corrupted and was sent in email version. But any way thanks for trying. I finally gave up and called Dirt Devils1 -800 # and they are sending me a manual free of charge. LOL

What was the file extension? Sometimes, if a compatible program isn't installed on your computer, NotePad defaults as the editor of choice. If it was something like a PDF document, you may need to get the Adobe reader.

Try using Internet Explorer to open the file and see if it works. ASPX is the .NET version of Active Server Pages. Good luck.
