My ex-girlfriend gave me a kitten for Valentine's day. Several of my other friends said they knew that she would... it's a "lesbian thing". I always thought I was just a cat person. Is it really because of my sexual preference that I prefer cats to dogs? What is your preference?

I never knew that getting a kitten for Valentine's day was a lesbian thing. I like all animals and I am into women. I know a few women that like dogs over cats, though, and they are lesbians. :)

I'm a lesbian but am more of a dog person. I don't think liking dogs over cats has anything to do with sexuality.

I must be Bi - I love cats and dogs!

EDIT: Alright, seriously, I grew up with pet cats and dogs from about age 7. It was only when I left home and struck out for myself that I realised how much I missed not having a pet. Now that I work silly hours and am away from my home so much I know that keeping a dog would not be fair. I have two cats. Both of them fiercely independent and as demanding as they choose to be. If my situation was different would I have a dog instead? No, I'd have at least one dog, as well.

Line taken from a 360 page I visited this week " Dogs have Owners - Cats have Staff"

i like cats and dogs and im not bi...i like all animals...growing up i had a cat a dog a bird and a bunch or rabbits. we have a zillion rabbits cuz we couldnt keep the males away from the females and sometimes when seperating them a male would accidently get put in with the females...not a good thing. that story ends here as being good but in the end its a horrible story :-P

Cats, and I'm bi. My wife (lesbian) and I also just thought we were cat people until we heard that stereotype. I'm afraid of dogs (a poodle took a bite out of my ankle when I was 5.)

But I'd really love to be able to keep a panda family in my yard! :-D

Enjoy the sweet kitty.

Cats all the way, they are independent you don't have to pooper scoop after them, they are selfish, self centered and I love them. Dogs need to be led as they are pack animals, need too much attention all the time, they are fine for people who really wanted to have children.

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO! I have several friends with cats. Some are gay. Some are straight. Same with dogs. I don't think it is a gender identity thing.
