I've gone to school with him in 4th and 5th grade. He's in my Geography class and we both like some of the same things, like golf and... sports. I'm a girly girl, but not too much! I'm pretty good looking and we are about the same height. I REALLY like him, I have since the first day of fourth grade. All summer he's been on my mind. I think he might like me, actually... he said. "Hi, Kendall!" excitedly when he walked by me in the hall the other day. I said hi back and smiled like i was embarassed and i caught him looking at me in Geography. What do i do!?!? I don't want to get shot down because I don't want to mess up our "friendship". So advice would rock right now! Thanks to everyone who helped me. ALSO! IMOPTANT PAT OF QUESTION: How do I ask him? What do I say?!!? HELP!!!! Thank everyone!!!

you should difinitely go for it if your shy like me go up to him after class one day ask him about something you went over in class like did you get the assignment? that will help you become more comfortable then ask him hey you know that dance comming up i know who your going with....me then if he says no play it ok and say jk or if he's with it say well then im ur date

dear 11 year old sixth grader, sounds like he's got you all excited. be careful. if he's a friend , you must think about the consequences. if you ask and he says no, will your friendship be able to withstand that type of rejection. on the other hand , if he says yes, will you be able to deal with the new set of rules that comes with forming a new type of relationship. I suggest that you get help from mom and remember good friends are hard to come by.

At 11 years old I don't think you should be dating yet.
Maybe get a group of kids together and go to the dance...include the boy you like.

How amazing! in simple terms play it cool circulate as much as him. Casually say hi enhance the problem, perhaps the DANCE. & ask him he has somebody to circulate with to the dance. If he would not it is your fortunate day! yet do no longer say it too prepared. in simple terms say it in a extreme-high quality speaking voice.

Just ask him to go as friends. Let the night take it's natural course, and see how you two feel throughout the night. Maybe a slow dance or two will help you figure out how he feels.
"Hi *insert name*. I was thinking, would you like to go to the dance with me?"
If he gives you a funny look, add "As friends of course!"

your only in the 6th grade....so of course you should you have like litereally nothing to lose...plus it could pay off big in teh end...and just ask him...like "hey you wanna go to the dance with me"
