Messrs Chaplin and Hitler related? Crazy you think? They both looked remarkably alike and they were both born in April 1889 albeit of different parentage. This being just a minor problem in the theory, I would like to refer to the case of twins Connor and Cameron Payne who were born to different mothers 16 days apart in different hospitals (abcNews 20 July 2006) ....Any Ideas?

I suppose it is amazing what a similar mustache will do, but Chaplin and Hitler really looked nothing like each other.

I just don't see a resemblance.
Of course, Chaplin took advantage of the similar mustaches, and spoofed Hitler in the 1940 movie "The Great Dictator".

My first wife's father was born in South Africa in 1911 to an unknown German. I often wondered if it was Adolf Hitler. He was supposedly bumming around in Vienna at that time, but records are very scanty. He was very keen on the S.African Boers! It's at least as plausible as your theory!
