Anything that they want to do--whether or not that means working, traveling or staying at home.
They are happy and creative and enjoy the luxuries of life from the simplest things and see the everyday mundane life as interesting and new. They are too intrigued with humanity and their knowledge and their projects and family and things to ever be totally bored. They enjoy relaxing, but relaxation is not at the same level even. They may think it is exercising or hiking as opposed to TV, or just the opposite. I assume that a smart person knows their limits and their responsibilities and also likes a good challenge for their mentality .
The smartest person I know, doesn't make a living, they have a life and live it their way.

I would have to say my surgeon. I had a total thyroidectomy last week. It was HUGE. She not only managed to remove my thyroid gland through a three inch long incision, I researched her before surgery - she has never received a negative report in 23 years of practice. During my pre-op tests and visits, everyone I told about her said she was excellent.

So, I would have to say medical doctors and surgeons are the smartest people I know.

Delivers doughnuts to satellite coffee shops on the graveyard shift. He possesses a number of university degrees, not that education automatically denotes intelligence - but he really is very, very smart, just not motivated I guess.
