You should wash it everyday and don't touch your face if your hands aren't clean. I use clean and clear and that works for me. (put a little on your arm before you use it to see if you are allergic to it, just to be care full)

I don't know how much acne you're talking about or where, but I've found that showering or at least washing your face in the morning and at night and keeping the puss out of the zits, applying a face mask, from a Proactive purchase, for around 20 minutes will do the trick in a few days. The face mask really dries out the skin, which works for me for everywhere but my face, so I used an oil-less lotion for my face.
I don't care what anyone says, popping zits works, and I don't have any acne scars.

get a Rx from a doctor. My son did and it really worked, it is a pill with a topical solution too.
