I hope you are talking about a PET and not a child since you said VET

As you probably know, it's not uncommon for a turtle to have a prolapse. If it's just his (and he's a male) genitals, make sure to put him in his OWN PRIVATE TANK if he's not there already, and they'll probably go back in. Boys will do what's called 'fanning' and display their private parts sometimes. You don't want other turtles to uh...nip that. I would take him to a vet or at LEAST call one either way. If this is an on going issue, the vet CAN put in some purse string stitches to keep it in there. If you're not sure it's his 'boy parts'...take him to a vet. They can also prolapse intestines, and that's much more dangerous than boy parts. If that's the case, he needs to be seen soon.

Isn't a red slider a type of salamander? I assume you're talking about "genitals"? Sounds like a vet ought to take a look and advise you. Maybe you're handling him too rough.

Thats normal, it happens every once in a while. But, as someone else said, if you have others, you might want to put it in its own tank, you wouldnt want him to get hurt.
