Sounds like you want a tool that will give you stock tickers/names of those stocks that are going up. Correct?

I've heard of "Investools" and have heard their sales pitch. Looks like it's a good tool, but it's pricey (hey, nothing's for free these days) and there's a training class included in the price.

On the internet, there are all kinds of web pages to give you just about anything you could want about stocks, bonds, futures, etc. Yahoo Business, for example, can give dozens of stock indicators like p/e ratio, EPS, trends, and so on. They even have graphs of the individual stocks by a wide variety of preiods (year, month, Q, etc.) and you can put the DJIA, SP, and other indices on top to see how your selected stock compared.
