Dell ships a utility that restores your system to what it was when you first received it from Dell. It is called "system restore" utility. It is on a CD.

If you know, Dell also had an option to include the OS disk. It is usually blue or orange labelled and should say system OS on the label.

If you have that OS disk, I recommend reinstalling Windows instead of doing a restore. Restore does put back all the junk Dell installed.

Hopefully you have backed up your important data! A reformat will wipe it out forever!

You should have gotten a CD-ROM that is a restore disk with your computer. Simply insert it then turn your computer on. It should boot to the restore disk automatically and walk you through the process.

You stick in the disc that came with it, if there are not any discs, then it may have come with the files on a hidden partition on your hard drive. Reboot and hit the Key Combonation to start the restore.
