He needs to understand that you've been dedicated this for longer than you two have been together. It can help you a lot for your future, in your case getting a scholarship to college, which is an amazing opportunity. You shouldn't give up on something you've worked so hard for, and your boyfriend should know that. Don't let him make you feel bad about not giving him enough time.

Ideally you would try to find someone that shares your interest, someone that plays sports (I personally love basketball *hint*hint* jk) You should definately stick with basketball, if you're good enough to be checked out by scouts then he should understand that it's a huge deal. If he doesn't that just means he's selfish and that it wasn't meant to be. All in all stick with basketball, it may or may not be your future career but it'll make reaching it that much easier.

I suggest you to stick with basketball even if your boyfriend does not approve of you playing the sport. If your boyfriend does not like you playing basketball because it takes up too much time, I suggest you find someone else who will support your game and has a passion for basketball.

Stick with basketball. It makes no sense to blow off your future on an unsupportive relationship that probably won't last after high school anyway. Some people will always want more no matter how hard you try. You don't want to end up losing both.

He may or may not understand, so there is a chance if you keep doing basketball he'll break up with you. But I would stick with basketball and try to do my best to make him understand! But it really is your choice and nobody can make the decision for you.

gurl follow your dreams and dont let anyone get in your way cause the way i see it is if that person cares about you then they should be the one pushing you to accomplish your goals in life. Do what you think is best for you but remember that you only get one shot and dont miss this chance to show your skills cause opportunity will only come knocking once in your lifetime.Bfs come and go
