i wanna make my wardrobe one-of-a-kind, and not like everyone else's, but i dont know how to start, or what to buy, so my question isssss what can i do to update my closet to make it unique and trendy, without brakeing the bank.

Uniqueness is all a matter of keeping away from fads and putting together things that you think look good. A big fad right now is wearing tights under skirts. The first step of uniqueness is to stay far away from fads. The second step is going for either something abandoned or something completely unthought of, like wearing a ribbon in your hair or a leather jacket decorated with sequins.
If you're trying to keep to the budget, try shopping for clothes at Target and sequins/other artistic materials at Michael's. Hope this helped!

I am not going to be very specific but- A lot of people have answered as stay away from trends, and I dissaggree with that. You can stiil be trendy but make it your own. I suggest having a signature peice of jewelry or accesesory like a necklace passed down from your grandmother or a hat your aunt wore to an interview. I also suggest vintage- you can find some great things if you look hard. Another way you can get one-of-a-kind peics is look through your grandma's jewelry box-you never know what great stuff you will find!

Summer is almost over put fall is falling in. Fashion Forward:This season is about bold accessories and the chic mode look. Leggings, bangels, waist trimming belts knickers, short coats, big chains and earings,over size shirts w/ skinny jeans. The time inspiration is the 80's with a modern flare. Fashion Colors for fall 06. red, deep purple, gold or rust yellow, black is back, stark white. Make-up. Natural look with bold eyes, or lips for example natural foundation and red lip stick with 2 shade eyes. Hair is some what simple buns, pony tails or spiral curls. Get all these trendy fashions from asos.com where the celebrities shop at bargain prices.
Unfortunately my fashion sidekick announced every girl must have a fitted velvet blazer this year!! Yuck, But the things we do for fashion.

Well i don't know how old you are, but go through your closet and start with everything that fits. Then start eliminating everything that in your opinion have more than two faults(fit and color is a good start). This should leave everything you need to have to begin. Go through various fashion magazines and see what you find unique and go to various stores don't have to be expensive (wait for a sale) and try matching the styles. don't try to copycat it put your spin on it.

Look on EBay they have clothing and jewelry.Look in the artisan or handmade section of Jewelry and Watches for jewelry. There are some really good auctions. Also, there are stores there too, with some really cool stuff at great prices.(and no I don't have anything up for auction at this time.) the addy is www.ebay.com

Ok u sound like me.You can make a ordianry pair of jeans into a a one of a kind. Go to a fabric store and but lace, ribons ,patches ,cloth, ne thing u think is cute.Also use cute stuff u like from old cloth, liek stuff that is to littel for u!

im glad u asked 1st these store party city and 5 and below great accessorizes very nice keep ur clothes but wear them different with stuff u usually wouldnt wear them with throw some clothes on the bed close ur eyes and picks some u may alter a bit da accessorizes help alot!!!

being different is right next door to impossible the way the world is a slave to trends now. this is my advice though - don't always follow those one season trends (ex: metalics and the half way sweater this past fall) AND try not to have a certain look you stick with. like don't be preppy every single day or goth every single day. find a happy medium and MOSTLY wear what flatters YOU PERSONALLY.

Shop at a second-hand store. They have the cutest stuff and most everything is unique and definitely affordable.
