Does how you view the importance or enjoyment of your work affect how much dedication you give to it? Do you have a hard time relating to people who view their work differently? What if you work for or supervise someone whose opinion differs greatly?

Do you professionally follow an inner calling? Or is work just a job to you? What is the difference? The difference is the self-satisfaction you get from your work. Having done both, I would much rather follow my calling.

Does how you view the importance or enjoyment of your work affect how much dedication you give to it? Of course it does.

Do you have a hard time relating to people who view their work differently? To some degree. Even when working a job I hated - I had a strong work ethic.

What if you work for or supervise someone whose opinion differs greatly? Fortunately, I was brough up with a strong work ethic, but yes, it is very difficult to find people who actually expect to earn their pay.

i believe your inner calling is the work, job, or whatever, you are doing professionally that is also what you would have chosen if it had not been your profession - i.e: you enjoy doing it for the sake of doing it - not for the monetory or other benefits it gives you - whereas just doing a job is what you find necessary to do in order to support yourself and others - not because you like it at all - or even possibly enjoy doing it - but only because it is the job you are qualified to do and which pays you enough to live on - which could mean you will probably have a very stressful life unles you decide to quit soon before it kills you

That is a darned good question. Everyone is different and I value diversity in opinions and views. I like and need to like the work I do, and as a result I feel very connected to my work. I choose that, and when that choice impedes my ability to like my peers or my connection to meaningful work, I would choose to do something else.

In my early years, I was excited about employment and it was great to go to work and make my money. Later on, it wasn't so exciting anymore, especially if you were working under or people who are difficult to work with and can't really take issue without losing your job.

But to answer your question, I wouldn't mind working at any job as long as I didn't have to put with its politics.
