Who wish the low rise style of jeans would go away?I'm not fat or a stick I'm short and have real hips! I hate always having to pull up my damn jeans! I don't think their very flattering on women who have perfect bodies either. Am I just too old and wanting the 80's back too much, or does anyone else agree?

I totally agree! According to my BMI, I am at my ideal body weight. But according to my low-rise jeans, my butt is huge and my belly sticks out. I can't wait for styles to change.

I love the low rise jeans, im short and have hips, so they make me look like i have a longer torso and flatter my butts, legs, hips and waist.. Not every style is for everyone, each person is unique and needs to find something that would flatter their body and theres definately a shop out there that makes different styles of jeans to fit a different body..

All styles go around in a circle. I remember reading about the 60's they wore pants cut low on the hips and bell bottoms that made them appear sloppy and hippy giving the term Hippies.
To that generation. Somehow it stuck and now anyone who seems unkept becomes a hippy. So it took 46 years to get around to it again. so once it leaves you won't see it again.
To know what is coming after the hip riders and bare midriff, what did they do in the severtys? That will be coming up next.
The 20's was minnie skirts and bare legs showing.
the 50's was the poodle skirt. long and full.
The 70's was curley long hair and leisure suits and tight jeans.
Be interesting to see. Let's face it anything is better than the 90's where there pants were so baggy and falling off.
Some guys are still in the ninetys. Pants falling off and showing their shorts. Guys that's over, get some tight pants.

YOU GO GIRL!!!! thank you I hate this style of jeans any woman who has had a child or is over 40 should not have to wear them I'm 5'3" and 113 lbs so I'm not fat by any means but I do have that little belly thing going and I have seen teenage girls that are worse and they wear those mid-drift tops its just wrong they need to go back to high waist in the stretchable jeans

I dont care much for them either. Constantly tugging on your pants isn't cool. But I had a good time in the 80's too. But I do like the way my back side looks in some of todays jeans.

This might sound nutty, but have you ever thought to try on men's jeans? My ex-g/f used to buy them because she had similar issues: a certain level of distaste for trendy clothes. Her lament was always about not being able to find anything that fit her, and at the time we hooked up, women's jeans were always too *high*-waisted for her.

But consider it - at least you know that men's jeans wouldn't be low riders, right? Plumbers everywhere may be fighting that, but until then, you might have an unusual option.

I like lower rise jeans, but not super low. I like them to be comfortable where I can actually sit down without having to worry about my whole *** and/or underwear being exposed. My sister constantly buys stuff that's too big for her so it's super low on her hips. She looks like a slob and a slut.

I agree, they should be left to those teenage girls that can carry it off.
For the rest of us, normal folk, we need comfort in our lives, and our clothing. That's not to much to ask.
I am medium, 5'10" 155lbs, and have a hard time, getting jeans to fit me. It used to be, you could get them in one inch increments, now it's two inches. So now the legs are either too long, or too short.
And one size, that works with one jean maker, doesn't fit with another manufacturer. Hell even with the same manufacturer, they have variations in sizes. Seems, it all depends where they are made, China, Korea etc.
So it's not just you, Mom, it's all of us. Keep up the good fight.
And by the way, you aren't too old, the Eighties weren't half bad, lol.

well everyone has their own likes and dislikes if you do not like them you could always go and buy something else .. there are other jeans out there that you can wear and no body can tell they are not the " newer " ones

i think they are more flattering to wear then to see other people wear :P

I hate low rise I feel like my pants are falling off and my crack is showing all of the time. The majority of the people who wear them look horrible in them and don't know it or don't care. It is time for the fashion industry to put an end to this trend.
