It does sound like you have a overheating problem. How long is it before you are able to reboot your computer and have it functioning correctly?

If it's still under warranty, and it should be at 7 months of age, return it to the manufacturers for an overhaul.

If there's some reason that you don't wish to do that (such as if you've upgraded your machine, or even had the case open, which would void the warranty) check all the fans within the system. Some companies use underpowered and fans that have a limited life expectancy.

Having said that, run anti virus and anti-malware programs to ensure that you don't have an infection on your hard drive.

It could be many reasons.
A virus could cause this to happen, it could be the cpu overheating due to lose or badly fitted cooling fan or inadequate case ventilation or you could have accidentaly altered the power saving settings (found in the control panel) and after a set time your computer will go into standby mode and shut down.

It would be useful if you could provide more information such as the frequency of the problem and what the pc was doing at the time of the shutdowns.

Most likely, it is a problem with the fan on the Power Supply, or the fan on the processor. If the processor overheats, of some of the hardware does, then the computer would turn itself off to prevent things melting and doing damage,
