My favorite is Casablanca. It's timeless, despite the fact that's it's from 1942 and in black & white. I also loved the fact that the actors didn't know how it was going to end until they actually filmed the last scenes.
And, yes, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is an amazing movie (& a fabulous book). I believe it was directed by Michael Douglas. Anyway, Jack Nicholson is amazing in it. And, you'll probably recognize some of the others in it.

I don't just like movies, I LOVE them. As such I'd hate to commit to a specific favorite.
But...
A movie that fascinated me since high school is Francis Coppola's "The Conversation".
This is often called one of the best movies of the Seventies. And for good reason.
The movie is brilliant. A brilliant piece of writing. And I can give you examples.
The movie is about a surveilance expert (a bugger) who gets caught up in an assignment. The assignment is to capture the entire conversation of a couple in a park. This couple knows they are being watched, so they pick a place where they believe they can't be recorded. A park. At noon. Where loud music is playing. They're never stationary. They constantly move about. They believe they're safe. They are mistaken.
Gene Hackman plays Harry Caul. By utilizing a number of directional mics and some conventional means (tailing), he gets several different bits of sound and marries these into one pristine copy. He has done his job well. But he's bothered by something the man whispers to the woman: "He'd kill us if got the chance."
What we don't realize is that Coppola tricks us. By movie's end, we'll hear the phrase altered slightly but significantly. He'll add an inflection on the word "us," which puts the couple in a different light.
Instead of them being the victims, now they're seen for what they really are.
What's fascinating is that Gene Hackman has done a masterful job of getting their conversation but HE MISINTERPRETS IT.
The ending is also brilliant. I don't want to give it away, but a lot of viewers miss the point entirely. It all comes down to a camera move. You have to really think about it and you'll see what Coppola is doing. What he's saying about the situation. I've never seen anything quite like it. The camera move itself tells a story. It's brilliant.

The Horse Whisperer - I love Robert Redford, like Sean Connery, no matter how old they are, just sexy, sexy, sexy. The scene where RR's character is dancing with the leading lady is so incredibly sexually tense without showing a bit of skin, now that's good. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - another one of my favorites - incredible story of the will to be yourself...

My Favorite movie in the world would have to be these three. She's the Man,Hairspray and The Chronicles of Narnia.
I like She's the Man because it has a cute boy in there named Channing Tatum.I also like it because of the sport .I like soccerand it is one of my favorite sports
I like Hairspray because it is so funny. If anyone has never seen it, they should. It is all about dancing and it is a very old movielike when my mom was about the age of 5.She used to watch it all the time. They are remaking it because Zac Efron is in it and so is Amanda Bynes.
I love the Chronicles of Narnia because of the effects and the music. One of the characters is really cute.
I hope that answers your question.
