Greenfield Village in the summer and you have to go to the Henry Ford Museum. Now with the IMAX there you need 2 days to see all three. Be sure and eat at the Inn.
At Christmas I am particularly fond of visiting Crossroads village which is just the other side of Flint. You can ride the Huckleberry Railroad and see all the Christmas lights and the village has plays and all kinds of neat stuff.
The best shopping (in the Metro-Detroit area)is at Fairlane mall and the ritziest shopping is at the Somerset mall. Oh be sure to go to the A & W Resturant at the Fairlane mall there is no other like it. You can even buy those original Root Beer Mugs there that they still use at this location.
