soak in acetone nail polish remover. they will get kinda gummy, but you can scrape off with metal nail file. It's very messy.

put pure asetone in a glass cup, put the cup in hot water. Use one of those green scrubber things, and soak and scrub, but do not get in water, they come off in about 15 minutes. I have clipped and nipped and filed too, but that is really bad on teh cuticles..

acetone doesnt work, it will thin it out, but it still hurts to take em off... go to the salon!
