In the Johnny Depp version, Deep Roy plays all of the Oompa Loompas. He's a funny little man!

In the movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" with Gene Wilder, they actually had a lot of little people that came from other countries besides the U.S. to do those scenes.
In the movie "Charlie and the Charcolate Factory", it was just one guy who did all the dance scenes, the stunts and dressed up as the female little person, Dorothy (in Administration). They just digitally added him to the scenes they wanted him in and duplicated him to make it look like there were a lot of them.

a single person in reality.

Yup it was the same guy the whole time,I saw it in the making of the movie.The thing about he resembling your dad funny.lol.

when i was about 5-6 and watched the original i was terrified of them
it's not right for people of any sort to to wear orange overalls, long green hair, and most of all SING?!

in the johnny depp version its only one guy...in the old version its many "little people"...i dont know what to really label them as, i want to be PC and not offend anyone that is short...
