Being addicted into porn probably, unless you are psycho or something, means that you have a very high sex drive, that you want to try different things in bed, and that you haven't had sex in a long time. Typically, people who have sex on a regular basis or even too much do not think about porn, primarily because they don't need it. If you meet someone who gives it to you the way you really like it then you won't need porn. The two of you might watch it together but you won't be addicted to it. Remember, there is a huge difference between having sex and making love. If you are making love more than you are having sex then chances are you are bored and frustrated out of your mind. Otherwise, delete the porn off your computer, trash the DVDs, and seek a Sex Addicts Anonymous group for support.

The addiction is feeding something you are missing. If you can't identify what your addiction is substituting then you will need counseling. If you can, then it's just a matter of changing your lifestyle to cater to what you really want, and not what you can easily get. It's like the obese people that eat food because : they can't get a mate/ can't get a job/ feel depressed and need self confidence/ hate their life. Depression manifests itself as addictions (slashing wrists/ drinking beer/ watching porn/ video games/ shopping/ eating chocolate/ etc.) and without any willpower to stop you will just keep doing it again and again.

First thing's first. Do you WANT to stop? If the answer is "no" then you will find a way not to stop. If you truly want to, you will have to make a slight change in your lifestyle. Whenever you get the urge to watch, find another hobby that will keep you busy. Get rid of the internet pics, videos, and so on. Don't surround yourself with what you are not trying to give in to. If you are a homebody, get out and do something away from your sources.

Go to a counselor and work on the problem. If you get your porn online get rid of your computer. If you buy magazines try not to go to the store where you can get them. Are you married? If you are realize it could ruin your marriage. You need help. You really can't do it alone if you are a true addict just like a drug addict can't quit cold turkey. Get help. Good Luck

do you WANT to stop? Usually addictions are hardest to break when we enjoy the object/substance.

If I might be so bold, I've struggled with porn too. And man, I couldn't break free myself, even with counseling and "encouragement". It's not as simple as "cold turkey," is it.... I had to cry out to Jesus Christ and beg Him for mercy and strength that I certainly don't possess.

Porn objectifies women... that is, it strips her of everything that makes her *who she really is* and exhibits only a functioning organ that can make a man feel insanely good. It takes a true man, and lots of strength and guts, to love a real woman for *who she really is* and loving her body alone. Don't settle for those women who are enslaving you...

Jesus can free you. I'm not kidding.

need to stop the things that bring you to doing it.

Kill the web favorites.
Kill the pictures or back them up on CDs and put them someplace you will need to think about looking at them as a starter.
Stop going to the bars...
Get any behaviour out of the way that leads you to it.
