I don't give thumbs down I don't waste my time. It happens to us all. Don't worry about it. I guess when people stop by to answer they give thumbs up or down. I think that's what the whole meaning of it is suppose to be. Like I said this was not such a great idea with the thumbs up and down. I get thumbs down. I could careless.

Why do I pick thumbs up and down ? I see it as a complement to a good question without clicking on the answer and then say good one. I enjoy questions that simulate thinking and humorous. Instead of yelling "that's a good one", I click.
For the questions which I think as tasteless and offensive in nature, Instead of saying/typing **** you, I just click on it. It doesn't do jack but I say my mind.

I give thumbs down when answers are "thanks for the 2 points", or the answer doesn't even bother to answer the question but flame the question. Sometimes answers are just way way out there with their responce. i don't know. i like the idea of being able to give out a quick indication of my opinion. Its harmless and it doesn't effect the overall.

I don't usually give either one...I would only give a thumbs down to a rude answer on my own Q and I usually just ignore those as well :)

JoBu feels that some people especially the younger ones get their kicks off of it because they get graded harshly in school, so they feel this is their way of grading someone else.
