Anybody know of a nice place to find information on a V8 conversion for a 63' corviar? Much appreciated.

Unless you are just going to drag race it, don't do it. They are a little hard to make handle right with the extra weight in back. The Corvair can be made to run as it was intended to by the people who designed it.( Porcshe). Just get the good stuff, turbo etc. Also, up until about 66, the manual transmission was weak.
If you really need to install a V8, search the web for some of the old Peterson's hot rod books. There were some conversions in the mid 60's.

This is not an easy swap, friend. If you put the engine where the flat 6 used to be, you'll have a car that will spin out at the drop of a hat.
I mean, this was a problem with the ORIGINAL engine, so just imagine the added weight of a V8.

Some guys used to run a mid engine set up, but it required a LOT of steel fabrication and major modifications to the car, making it just too expensive.

Your best bet is to build the six and run an original turbo that came on some models.

There were companies that did this in the past. Here are two sites to read. probably not in business anymore but you may get lucky.
