Nope, it means nothing. Chances are since this is your fifth that when the baby does drop you will dilate and go into labor fairly quickly.

This doesn't mean that you're going to deliver late. You'd be surprised how fast a baby can drop when it nears time. I've had 2 children and I never dropped with my daughter until I was actually in labor and then she had to be delivered by emergency c-section. I don't know what would have happened with my son since he was a scheduled c-section, but he still hadn't dropped when they took him at 37 weeks 3 days. Don't stress about it.

no, all that can happen ANY time between 36-40 weeks. I never dropped and my cervix was only dilated a fingertip when I went into labor. (I WAS overdue, though, but I know people who were like me when they went into labor, and they were early or on time).

Every pregnancy is different. Just remember, don't mess with nature. The longer the baby stays in, the healthier it will be..
Besides, while it is in, there will be no dirty diapers, waking up in the middle of the night...etc. Relax..enjoy this time. If you are stressing, you will pass this on through the umbilical cord and breast milk.

It does not mean anything, things can change overnight, besides you have about a month to go, I'm sure your baby will move down during this time. Good luck-but OMG your 5th child- you are very brave, I'm pregnant with my first and after this I think I will adopt

No, my baby didn't start dropping until 37 weeks, and I had the baby at 38 weeks.

I'm with Caro...can't go through another pregnancy....but no, it doesn't mean anything...first pregnancies usually drop weeks before delivery but subsequent ones can sometimes wait until just before labor begins or into the onset of labor....congrats, though!

NO, what it means is your started counting your weeks a little early. The baby will be on time, you are just early.

you still have almost 4 weeks to go things can change drastically between now and then so no it doesn't necessarily mean you'll be late!
